Admission Process: Candidates must have the required or equivalent qualifications from an accredited institution recognized by the Ministry of Education/Government. If the candidate meets all requirements the process for admission to NMI is simple.

Eligibility Requirements for the Doctor Of Medicine Program

  • Guyanese/Caribbean Applicants: At least 5 (5) Subjects at CXC/CSEC level,
  • North American Applicants: High School Diploma
  • British Applicants: General Certificate of Education.
  • Asian Applicants: Higher Secondary School
  • Africa: Senior Secondary Certificate

List Of Required Documents for Prospective Students

  • Eight (8) updates passport size photos
  • Valid police clearance certificate
  • One Letter of recommendation
  • CSEC/CXC certificate along with any other certificate for higher studies.
  • Passport biographic data page
  • National Identification Card
  • Birth Certificate
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copy of COVID-19 Vaccination Card

Financial Support Letter from sponsor/Guarantor/Parent or proof of ability to make payment of tuition fees

TRANSFER APPLICANTS

Students from another University or education facility can transfer to NMI. Students must apply as Transfer student applicants with their Education Documents from the school they had previously attended.

A Transfer student is accepted at the discretion of the NMI School of Medicine based on their prior Education.

Transfer students may be exempted from courses or part of the medicine program.
